Õhkjahutusega üksus kasutab kahte kõrge kiirusega ventilaatorit tõhusa soojuse hajutamiseks ning tekitab umbes 80 dB müra, mis on tipptasemel seadistuste omane.
Mõõtmed 200 x 264 x 290 mm ja kaal 8,5 kg; see ehitatud kolmel kiibi plaadil, töötab 12 V ja Ethernetiga ühendamiseks stabiilse töö jaoks. 2021. aasta märtsis välja antud KD5 sai kiiresti võimsate ja tõhus Kadena kaevandamise viide.
