Leica D-Lux 8 100 YEARS OF LEICA pays homage to the Leica I from 1925, the camera that revolutionized photography a century ago. The shape of the camera and its subtle design elements evoke its historical inspiration. They include a black finish, an exclusive synthetic leather covering, and nickel-colored details on the control elements, lens, and lens cap. Unlike the standard model, the special edition does not feature the red Leica logo. It opts for a clear design with straight lines. Other details, such as the "100" on the hot shoe cover and the elaborately designed edges of the shutter button, nod to its iconic heritage.
The D-Lux 8 100 YEARS OF LEICA is identical to the standard model from a technical perspective. Its powerful Leica DC Vario-Summilux 10.9-34 f/1.7-2.8 ASPH. lens and 21 MP CMOS sensor deliver exceptional image quality. The DNG format and the included powerful flash expand creative possibilities.
