Meade's optical treatments: Ultra-High Transmission Coatings (UHTC) increase total light transmission and therefore image brightness by nearly 20% more than traditional Meade optical treatments.
Objects such as stars, galaxies, and nebulae will appear significantly brighter.
The Zero Image-Shift Microfocus: allows you to obtain accurate images without the image moving by a false focuser slide.
This is a very important point for photographic applications.
The primary mirror lock: allows you to fix the primary mirror so that it does not shift undesirably during a long exposure.
Along with the robustness of the micro-focus, this is another key factor in successful quality photography.
Oversized primary mirror: The diameters of the primary mirrors are larger than those listed as tube diameter (for example, the diameter of the LX200 ACF 8" -203mm- is actually 8.25" -210mm-).
