Champagne Cristal 2005 Louis Roederer
The Cristal cuvée is the jewel of Louis Roederer. Created in 1876, this cuvée combines the Grands Crus of Rheims Mountain, the Marne Valley and the Côte des Blancs.
Bright yellow colour with a fine and slow effervescence. Perfumed bouquet in which, over time, white fruits have given way to soft, buttery, toasty and sweet notes, such as vanilla and pastry. The mocha and smoked notes, well present, remind us of the 14 years of aging in the bottle.
Smooth, melting and delicate on the palate. The wine has kept all its freshness and delicacy, that round and juicy aspect of the 2005 vintage. The end is sustained by a sharp acidity and today associated with a pleasant bitterness that develops that saline sensation that adds lightness to the finish.
After aging for 5 years in cellars, after disgorging, it is aged for 8 more months.
