Now the image supports even more quality with the Sony ILCE-7RM2 Evil camera.

BIONZ X ™ High Speed Image Processor

Thanks to detail reproduction technology to capture the essence of realism, diffraction reduction technology, which maintains sharpness even with smaller apertures, and area-specific noise reduction to adapt and reproduce a greater level of detail; The BIONZ X image processor precisely adjusts the 42.2 megapixel sensor data to provide more faithful and crisp portraits.

All FE maximizes resolution

The growing group of FE lenses (lenses with type E mount for a 35mm full frame), all carefully developed to adapt to full-frame image sensors, which in turn employ an increasing number of pixels, allows you to obtain the maximum resolution performance of the α7R II with 42.4 megapixels ..

The fast hybrid autofocus now covers more

The high-performance image sensor improves fast hybrid autofocus and is more complete, faster and more fluid than conventional autofocus. The autofocus with phase detection in focal plane with 399 points covers 45% of the image area: the greatest coverage among digital cameras with full-frame image sensors. It also includes autofocus coverage with 25-point contrast detection.

5-axis image stabilization

This stabilization system is adjusted so that the high resolution image sensors accurately compensate for the five types of camera vibration that can affect the 42.2 megapixel images captured without a tripod. The camera's vibration compensation is equivalent to the use of a faster shutter speed of 4.5 steps, which allows you to take advantage of a wider range of shutter speeds.

4K video recording with higher resolution

The recording footage of 4K videos with full pixel reading without clustering in Super 35 mm format has a higher resolution and clarity than usual 4K videos. In addition, the XAVC S format allows 4K recording at a maximum bit rate of 100 Mbps to capture the most subtle movement details in video.

XGA OLED Tru-Finder ™ makes each view a vision

With 0.78x, the largest magnification among all digital camera viewers in the world, the XGA OLED Tru-Finder ™ viewfinder provides views with cutting-edge definition, contrast and depth across the screen. The ZEISS T * coating guarantees a minimum reflection in the viewfinder so that you always enjoy the extraordinary 42.2 megapixel performance of the α7R II ..

Rugged magnesium alloy body

Designed to provide reliability, robustness and a stable grip, the α7R II's compact body has been manufactured to withstand the unforeseen events of outdoor photography thanks to the rigid magnesium alloy of the internal structure and of the top, front and front covers. later..

Durable shutter with reduced vibration

The new shutter activation mechanism reduces the vibration of the mechanical front and rear curtains by approximately 50%. In addition, you can use the electronic front curtain to further reduce vibration. This not only minimizes camera vibration that could blur the details of the 42.4 megapixels, but also prolongs the life of the shutter, tested by 500,000 cycles.

Silent shooting

Silent shooting includes an electronic shutter that does not cause vibration so you can capture high resolution images without camera shake. This mode does not emit any sound, so it is very comfortable to record indoors, capture animals outdoors or any other situation where silence is essential.

Wi-Fi® / NFC to simplify sharing

With Wi-Fi® and NFC (Near Field Communication) integrated in the α7R II, you can transfer a photo, video or MP4 to your Android ™ smartphone or tablet instantly just by touching them with the camera and then easily uploading them to your favorite social networks ..

PlayMemories Camera Apps to add personal touches

The Sony application download service allows you to add new features and capabilities to the camera. There are applications with photographic and video effects to express and increase your creativity, and others that will allow your smartphone to function as a remote control for the camera, for example ..

Enhanced Eye AF

Now also available in the AF-C focus mode, Eye AF automatically detects the eyes and follows them even in moving subjects to give you more framing freedom.
