The most famous of our House wines was born in 1876 to satisfy the demanding taste of Tsar Alexander II. The Emperor asked Louis Roederer to reserve for him each year the best cuvée of the House, which he particularly appreciated.

 

To accentuate its uniqueness, this exceptional champagne will be bottled in a flat-bottomed glass bottle. From now on, it will bear the name of this precious material that exalts its transparency and light.

 

With its extraordinary balance, Cristal is a refined champagne whose persistence in the mouth remains unmatched. Its silky texture reveals fruit aromas, reinforced by a mineral power from which emanate notes of white fruits and citrus. Cristal is an aged wine, which can be kept for more than twenty years without losing its freshness or character.
