The Apple Glass appears in a render based on everything we know about the future augmented reality device

We have been talking about Apple Glass for a long time.

We have talked about benefits, its relationship and dependence on the iPhone and we have even heard price rumors.

Recently The Information published a sketch of what these glasses would be like that the designer Antonio de Rosa has turned into some very interesting renders.

Progressive evolution or starting with the most difficult Before entering into the design of this device, it is convenient to clarify one point.

Initially we thought that Apple Glass would be a common use glasses that we could wear on the street and in which we would receive notifications, see maps, etc.

Apparently this is Apple's plan, but the development steps have been reversed.

We all took it for granted that we would first see a light version of Apple Glass, with some simple interactions; then a second generation more powerful, more detached from the iPhone and with augmented reality; and, in a third generation, it would go further with autonomy, computing power, etc.

This is the path that the development of the Apple Watch followed, a development that, although it hurts to recognize it, has caused many developers, not seeing the possibilities of the device at the beginning, are not contributing the apps that our watch could enjoy.

Apple has reversed the sense of development.

A very high-performance first generation that, as technology advances, may become mainstream.

That is why Apple seems to have made the decision to turn the order of development.

First, autonomous virtual reality glasses, with the power of an M1, with total autonomy from an iPhone, with mini OLED screens; and then, with the ecosystem of apps created, a lower-priced version of similar features with less hardware required, a version for everyone.

For this reason, the renders that we see in this article belong to augmented or virtual reality glasses that we expect to cost around 3,000 dollars.

A device with 12 cameras, 8K screens and eye tracking technology.

This is how the first Apple Glass could be Antonio De Rosa has made these renderings based on a drawing published by The Information performed by a person with knowledge of the development of the device.

In the renderings we see a device with a kind of totally opaque front screen that we keep fixed on our head with a quote that is slightly reminiscent of the design of the AirPods Max headband as well as an Apple Watch strap.

Between the glasses and our face, a foam, which could well be the same as that of the ear pads of these headphones, ensures that the glasses fit and that there are no light leaks.

The device has multiple cameras on the front and sensors on the sides.

If something can be missed in this design it is an audio source.

It is possible, however, that these glasses are intended to be used with AirPods.

A design that, saving the distances, recalls a combination between the AirPods Max and the Apple Watch.

The glasses also have an on and off button very similar to that of the Apple Watch and could, although it is not reflected in this render, include a digital crown in the style of the watch and AirPods Max.

Recall that recently Dan Riccio, Apple executive, has taken command of the Apple Glass team.

In a move to give up the baton from the company's hardware division, Riccio goes on to oversee a development that, in the words of Tim Cook, will be as big a revolution as the original iPhone was.
