In a sector where the current trend is for phones to take on larger and larger bodies, with more screen surface area, Samsung continues to bet on 'phablets' and phones like the Note and its increasingly useful S-Pen seem to have a place in the market.
market and a healthy community of followers that could even make the 'Plus' versions disappear.
The Note 9 continues to be a phone geared towards productivity and creativity, just as the Galaxy Note 7 and Galaxy Note 8 were introduced to us.
This year, the 'factor' is also introduced.gaming'and the thing is that 2018 is being a very remarkable year in terms of mobile video games with powerful graphics.
It's time to talk a little about Fortnite, but first, let's see what changes in the Galaxy Note 9 compared to the Galaxy Note 8.

And, when something works, why touch it? This is how we have come to repeat in materials, with glass and metal to make aluminum edges that, this time, are laser cut, which makes the body appear less thick -although it is actually 2 millimeters wider.
The weight has also increased, a logical consequence of the increase in battery capacity.
This time, the Note 9 comes six grams heavier that will make a minuscule difference, although we will have to wait to test the sensations that it carries in hand, taking into account that it is a mobile by tradition oriented to work, not to comfort.
In color, the design of the S Pen is the most groundbreaking to date.
As we have already seen in all the previous leaks, it is a very striking color especially accompanied by the blue model, this being the first time that Samsung decides to vary the tone with respect to the phone.
What has changed is, again, the position of the fingerprint reader: if from Note 7 to Note 8 we go from front to back, next to the cameras, the Note 9 repositiones the reader so that it is in one place less controversial: just below the rear camera.
The 3.5mm jack is still there, wired and quality audio lovers.
The IP68 certificate is maintained, as well as the tray for micro SD cards and the USB type C port.
Premium screen with a subtle increase The upper and lower frames have been reduced again -very slightly- and it is that the market trends command .
On such a large phone, the frameless display looks even better.
From the 6.3-inch diagonal we have advanced a millimeter more, but the new 6.4 inches do not come accompanied by more resolution, so the pixel density has dropped from 522 dpi to 514 dpi.
The resolution, as we mentioned, remains in the QHD +, 2,960 pixels by 1,440 pixels that promise a lot of quality in the details for the retinas that require more precision in their panels.
These, to top it off, are once again Super AMOLED, as we expected, compatible with HDR and Gorilla Glass 5.
The Note 9 screen, as the numbers show, is the widest to date, although the proportion remains around the 18.5: 9 and its total surface remains at 83.4% of the body, an increase over the 82.98% of its previous model.
Quality, as always, of excellent level in all aspects of image management.
The most ambitious S Pen of the Note [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LIlwTwohX7c[/embed] The play of colors of the new S Pen (yellow, brown, purple, black ...) is not the only difference compared to its last edition.
The most distinctive characteristic element of the Note line offers different and interesting novelties, to begin with: it introduces Bluetooth connection.
With this new connection, the S Pen gains a lot in versatility.
It is no longer an annotation instrument, it also works as a remote control and, thanks to the incorporation of a small capacitor, it has enough battery to pass slides forward or backward, click remotely to interact with applications or take photos.
A smart pen shouldn't be the only argument for buying a phone, but the new S Pen is very tempting.
Samsung has announced that it is opening the SDK to all developers, so the interaction options that the S Pen will offer will grow over time if they are encouraged to incorporate their actions in the apps.
The operating distance of the new smart pen's Bluetooth connection is a typical 10 meters, according to Samsung, and the sensitivity and precision of the S Pen are maintained thanks to the same Wacom technology of 4,096 levels of pressure that already introduced the Note 8.
Cameras inherited from the S9 The double camera came in the transition from Note 7 to Note 8, advancing to the S8 model, but this time who comes in tow from the S series is the Note 9: it introduces the same double camera with variable aperture f / 1.5- 2.4 than the Galaxy S9 and also its optical stabilization, for the two rear sensors.
The camera application and software image processing has undergone an evolution with respect to the Note 8, with improvements in the detection and optimization of scenes, better automatic mode and better detection of errors in the images taken, for example, if the image It comes out slightly blurry due to pulse failure or someone appears with their eyes closed.
The front camera of the Note 9 maintains the 8 megapixels that it achieved in the previous model and the video modes are the same as the Note 8 except for slow motion.
Here the Note 9 has once again been inspired by its S9 brother to incorporate the super slow motion at 960fps that Samsung so proudly demonstrated during the past Mobile World Congress.
The portrait mode and the two-magnification zoom that debuted in Note 8 is also maintained.
Better performance and more battery: ready to play The component 'gaming' we were talking about at the beginning is confirmed, right from the start, with the marketing master move that Samsung has cast us with the presentation of the Galaxy Note 9.
For the first time, we are presented with a Note with an exclusive, specifically a skin to use within the game of the year, Fortnite that will not have any other player and is called 'Galaxy'.
Also, the Note 9 will be the first to test Fortnite for Android, which will be released this week.
The power to bring that game to life is taken for granted.
Here Samsung repeats the same processor that we saw in its flagships at the beginning of the year, the Galaxy S9 and its Exynos 9810.
Built with the 10 nanometer technique and with eight cores, they provide four of them at a speed of 2.7 GHz and four more efficient than 1.7 GHz.
But where the real improvement is is not in the 'brain', but in the memory that accompanies it.
If in the Note 8 we only had the variety of 6 GB of RAM, this year it maintains that figure but also adds a variant of 8 GB of RAM, with which each new Note offers us an increase of 2 GB of RAM and that's always good.
More memory, more storage, more battery ...
the design can be considered continuity, but in the bowels of the Note 9 there is a clear evolution.
The internal memory goes up again, this time with a base that is twice the previous 64 GB of the Note 8.
With 128 GB of storage, and another superior version with 512 GB, both expandable by MicroSD up to an additional 512 GB, the space will not be a problem in the Note 9.
More power could mean more heat, but the work in cooling has improved so much this year that the Note 9 no longer even require mounting the DeX to lower degrees of temperature.
The liquid cooling system has expanded its size and dissipates heat better so that Fortnite does not see its performance affected and so that a single cable is enough to turn the phone into the brain of a complete computer with a single adapter cable from USB-C to HDMI.
Regarding autonomy, behind are the times when the Note 7 was so dangerous that in the Note 8 they did not want to play it and the battery was reduced to 3,300 mAh.
Their 8 security points have given them so much confidence that, confirming the rumors, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 comes with an impressive 4,000 mAh capacity, 21% more than the Note 8.
Compared prices and availability The Note 8 came out when the Galaxy Note 7 had already disappeared from stores.
On this occasion, we can still buy either of the two models (Note 8 or Note 9), so it is worth comparing their prices.
The Note 8 was controversial for its more than a thousand euros of starting price (1,010.33 euros), but today it can already be found for 649 euros.
Samsung has two versions of the Note ...
