Sweet white wine Château D`Yquem 2014 Sauternes
In 1593 Jacques Sauvage acquired Yquem, at this time the production of wine in these lands had already begun. In 1788 Françoise Joséphine de sauvage D`Yquem took over the Chateau and managed to earn an international reputation in the wine industry.
Sweetness and freshness. Balance in its purest form
The privileged terroir, the magnificent work in the vineyard, the careful selection, the expertise in winemaking and the care during aging. All these factors have an influence on obtaining a wine of great richness and complexity, with great aromatic power and delicate acidity.
19 / 20 the harvest began on 8 October with slightly dry grapes affected by botrytis. These grapes had great freshness. The grapes were harvested until 28th October, thanks to at least 3 more botrytis infections. Bright gold with a green note. Fabulous nose in richness and freshness. The residual sugar is not very high but there is great balance. Lime and pears, great richness, almost like a fruit juice. It is very refreshing, dense and ductile / Jancis Robinson
